Wow, My kids and I took our first trip to Insectropolis Bug Museum and WOW!! This is one of the coolest museums we have ever been to. There is an unbelievable amount of live insects as well as displays reminiscent of the NY Museum of Natural History. The nicest part is NO Draws to pull out. My 6 and 11 year old daughters (self professed girlie girls) loved the touching show, they even touched the insects. This may not sound like much, but my six year old (before today) was deathly afraid of any bugs and she touched a hissing cockroach, Scorpion, Tarantula and centipede. My older daughter who professed she'd go today but wouldn't touch anything, touched all but the tarantula. Both kids really enjoyed the entire museum and want to go back. The staff was excellent, they put all the kids minds at ease and were more than friendly. It took us just under 3 hours to go through the museum at a leisurely pace. We did not read every plaque, but we didn't rush through either. The kids and I highly recommend this museum and will be going back often. I admit my expectation before going were low, but after just one visit, we will be regulars.
