An extremely well maintained park and museum. The Nature Center and Observatory are amazing. There are interactive exhibits of the Wildlife and plant life of the pine barrens. With live turtles, toads and lizards as well as real stuffed animals (deers, wolves, raccoons, beavers, opossums, vultures, turkeys to name a few), insect exhibits and an observatory to see it all in action, this is the place to go with the kids. Some of the many highlights of the park itself include numerous recreation areas, interesting trails, a children's park and expanse picnic areas. Don't miss seeing Hanger 1 in Lakhurst (site of the Hindenburg crash) and the forked river mountains from the observatory.
