Liberty State Park is not only the launch site to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, but a great place for a picnic with the family.  The view of the city, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island is a wonderful backdrop.  This is a great park and a nice place to go before taking the ferry to Ellis or Liberty Island.
